The Boxer is a working breed that is strong and purposeful while still remaining elegant and stylish. They are full of dignity and alertness, a make an excellent guard dog. The broad, blunt muzzle and chiseled head are the unique hallmark of the breed, and carefully considered in the show ring. The Boxer should have a short coat, with acceptable colors being fawn or brindle, white markings are not to exceed 1/3 of the entire coat. Boxers are a large dog, and should stand 21 to 25 inches at the withers; males should not be under the minimum or females over the maximum.

Border Collies are seen in two coat types, the rough and the smooth, and colors include black and white, with or without tan points, merle, sable, solid color, (with the exception of white) and bi-color.

The Basenji is an elegant little hunting dog that hails from Africa. It is a well-balanced, smooth dog with a highly set curled tail. Its appearance is poised and very alert. Although the American Bulldog is apparent in paintings dating back to the early 1800’s, it has only been recognized as a breed for the last 15 to 20 years. Before that it was known by other names, the “English White” or “Southern Bulldog” as it hails from the southern United States, specifically the Georgia-Alabama region. The American Bulldog is a breed that has earned its keep for many years, working to protect property, family, and catch escaped cattle for hundreds of years. Emphasis was not put on the appearance of the dog as much as what that dog could accomplish physically. They are uniform in appearance today, however, with a broad head, muscular build and athletic type. Males are markedly larger and more masculine then females, and can weigh in at 120 pounds. The average female should weigh between 60 and 90 pounds. The color patters recognized by the American Bulldog Association are white, white and brindle or white and red.
