Old World Kennel is family owned and operated, and has been breeding, importing, training, and showing some of the finest German rottweilers since 1981. As rottweiler breeders, we have built our name and reputation by seeking out the absolute top rottweiler bloodlines from Germany, and incorporating those lines into our own. We also import rottweiler puppies and young adults for other discriminate rottweiler breeders, to enable them to do the same. Old World Kennel rottweilers are known for their versatility in winning major world events, both in the international show ring and at the top working competitions as well. This is evident by the fact that our dogs have participated in and done well at the largest of events, such as the Klubsieger Show and Deutscher Meisterschaft in Germany, or various regional/national sieger shows and schutzhund working championships here in the U.S.A.

My name is Alex Rodriguez, I am located in middle Tennessee just north of Nashville on 5 acres of land. My first dog was a Rottweiler. I’ve been showing and working with Rottweilers since I was about 9yrs old. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to train and learn from top German Rottweiler breeders and other trainers. My passion and dedication to this breed has taken me to different parts of the world, meeting famous German and international Rottweiler breeders. The AKC standard depicts the Rottweiler as a confident, yet calm and courageous, dog with self-confidence. This does not lend itself to any kind of halfhearted relationship. Typically the Rottweiler is a sensible yet serious friend; although, most have a tendency to be fun loving.
Our Rottweiler kennel is located in central Tennessee, a small town called Whites Creek, near Nashville, Tennessee. Our home and Rottweiler kennels are on 3 acres of land, surrounded by woods. Located on the back of our property, we have a lake. The air in the summer flows up the valley into our kennels, giving our Rottweilers a breeze to keep them cool.
